【Development History】

 

1958: Liugong (formerly known as “Liuzhou Construction Machinery Factory”) was founded in Liuzhou, China, and gradually developed into one of the world's leading companies in the development and manufacture of wheel loaders. In the same year, the predecessor of Liugong forklift (Huguang forklift) was established in Shanghai.

1966: Liugong launched China's first modern wheel loader Z435, which unveiled the history of Liugong loader production.

1987: Liugong introduces Caterpillar loader technology.

1993: Liugong is listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

1995: Liugong cooperated with German transmission parts manufacturer ZF Friedrichshafen AG (ZF) to establish a joint venture in Liuzhou.

2000: Liugong acquired Jiangyin Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. and entered the road roller industry.

2001: Liugong began to manufacture excavators, and Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. excavator factory was established.

2002: Liugong acquired Shanghai Huguang forklift and established Shanghai Liugong Forklift Co., Ltd.

2003: Jiangsu Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. was established and entered the small construction machinery industry. Begin to fully implement the globalization strategy.

2004: Liugong entered the road machinery industry; established its first overseas subsidiary in Australia.

2006: The output of wheel loaders exceeds 100,000 units.

2007: Liugong acquires Anhui Crane Co., Ltd., and has established Liuzhou Liugong Forklift Co., Ltd. and Liugong India Subsidiary.

2008: Liugong establishes subsidiaries in North America and Latin America.

2009: Indian wheel loaders and manufacturers started production.

2010: Liugong’s 200,000 loaders went offline, and the company established subsidiaries in Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East and South Africa.

2011: Cummins and Liugong announced the establishment of a joint venture to produce medium-sized engines.

2012: Liugong completed the acquisition of the civil construction machinery business unit of its subsidiary, the major bulldozer manufacturer in Poland, Huta Stalowa Wola, and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Rusita, and opened up a strategic foothold and avenue to enter the European market.

2012: Liugong and ZF set up a second joint venture, Liuzhou ZF Machinery Co., Ltd., to develop and produce engineering machinery drive axles for the Chinese market.

2013: Liugong and Wuling Group jointly produced cabs and thin-plate parts and acquired the ZNN factory in Poland.

2014: Liugong established a subsidiary in Hong Kong to accelerate the pace of capital operations and deepen its internationalization strategy.

2014: Liugong established Shandong Liugong Forklift Co., Ltd. and opened the first overseas SKD forklift factory in Argentina.

2014: Liugong and Metso form a joint venture, Liugong Metso Construction Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Liugong will combine Metso's expertise in crawler crushing and screening business with Liugong's marketing resources and manufacturing capabilities. Together, expand business in China.

2015: Liugong establishes a new factory in the Parque Industrial Zone in Mogúguasu, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Liugong’s new plant in Brazil became Liugong’s third overseas factory, marking the opening of a new page for Liugong’s internationalization business. Liugong’s business development in Brazil and throughout Latin America has entered a new milestone.

2015: Liugong Global R&D Center was officially opened in Liuzhou. The Liugong Global R&D Center covers an area of ​​110,000 square meters, including an office area, a test center, a prototype center, seven laboratories, and three design studios. In addition, the R & D center also has the most advanced technical equipment and a virtual reality studio.
